Worshop Overview:
This interactive course introduces middle school boys to the essential rulings of Islamic practice in a clear and engaging way. Instructed by Shaykh Abbas Ghaddar, students will explore topics such as purity, prayer, fasting, and halal living. Learning not only the rules but also the wisdom behind them.
Topics Covered - Part 2 (Spring 2026):
- Congregational Prayer: Understanding its importance, conditions, following the Imam, and common rulings.
- Traveling & Travelers (Salat al-Musafir): When prayers are shortened, rules of travel distance, intention, and exceptions.
- Purchase & Sale: Basic halal transactions, conditions of a valid sale, and what makes a transaction invalid.
- Zakat: Who must pay, what wealth is eligible, and how it is distributed.
- Khums: Understanding 20% obligation, what it applies to, and how it is divided and paid.
- Vow, Covenant & Oath (Nadhr, ‘Ahd, Yameen): Differences between them, conditions, and when they become binding.
